Intensive outpatient treatment is for people who want to maintain their everyday lifestyle but also need more intensive therapy than classic, once a week mental health counseling.
You can get access to the intensive outpatient program even if you have not been in an inpatient program previously at Chicago Behavioral Hospital.
At Chicago Behavioral Hospital, our IOP program features a daytime group therapy session Monday – Friday, from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM. Our group therapy sessions help our patients in a variety of ways, and focus on:
The SUD Intensive Outpatient Program is designed to address a combination of mental health and substance use problems. Patients who attend the SUD IOP may receive medication-assisted treatment (MAT), including Suboxone (Buprenorphine/Naloxone) or Subutex (Buprenorphine) as part of their treatment plan.
MAT may be an option for patients who, after Detox, continue to experience significant cravings and/or withdrawal symptoms that require the use of buprenorphine products. You, your physician and your treatment team can determine if MAT is right for you.
The SUD IOP program includes:
· Introduction to Recovery
· Basics of the 12 Step program
· Stress & Anxiety Management Techniques
· Family Dynamics
· Healthy Relationship Skills
· Medication, if needed
